A 35-year-old man was taken to a Wichita hospital in serious condition Saturday morning after he was cut in the stomach, Wichita police said.
Sgt. Bruce Watts said police responded to a disturbance call at 1:45 a.m. in the 400 block of South Leonine, south of West Douglas Park, and found the victim who was “cut across his lower mid-section.”
The man was taken to Via Christi St. Francis in serious condition.
Watts said a 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.
The stabbing occurred after the two men got in a verbal argument that escalated into a fight, Watts said.
