A third person has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a man on Holyoke near College Hill Park earlier this month, records show.

Marquez Barry, 28, was taken into custody shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at 1219 S. Rock Road. He was linked by police to the Oct. 12 shooting of a 53-year-old man in the backyard of a house at 212 S. Holyoke.

The victim was shot several times and seriously injured. As of Wednesday afternoon, he was no longer listed as a patient at Wesley Medical Center.

Two cousins, 18-year-old Demarkus Oliver and 29-year-old Dominic Oliver, were arrested at about 6 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of South Mission in connection with the shooting. They are being held on $250,000 bond.

Barry and Dominic Oliver are documented gang members, Lt. Scott Heimerman said, but there’s no indication the altercation was related to gang activity.
