Sedgwick County sheriff’s officers cited 40 adults for seat belt violations during a seat belt enforcement patrol Tuesday night.
The enforcement effort, conducted from 6 to 10 p.m., also resulted in four people being arrested for driving with a suspended license, the Sheriff’s Office said in an e-mail news release Wednesday morning. Deputies arrested three people because they had warrants. Also, deputies arrested three people on drug charges.
Other traffic violations resulted in 25 citations being issued, the office said.
A state grant funded the operation.
