Bank of Kansas parent sees earnings decline

The Oklahoma parent company of Bank of Kansas said its earnings in the third quarter of 2013 were down from a year ago.

Stillwater-based Southwest Bancorp said its earnings for the three-month period that ended Sept. 30 were $3.8 million, compared with $4.3 million in the same period a year ago.

Earnings also were down for the first nine months of the year: $10.6 million in 2013 compared with $11.5 million in 2012.

Southwest Bancorp owns South Hutchinson-based Bank of Kansas, which operates east and west branches in Wichita.
