A man armed with a knife robbed an east Wichita Burger King late Sunday night, police said.

Two employees were working in the kitchen of the Burger King at 528 N. Oliver when the robber came into the room shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday, Lt. Doug Nolte said.

He was brandishing a knife with an 8-inch blade and demanded money from the store’s register and safe. After he received the money, he ran east from the store, the employees said.
