A 17-year-old was killed and two other teens injured early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in Riley County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Trevor Cole Redding of Randolph was a passenger in a 1990 Honda Accord when it skidded into a ditch and struck a rock wall about 1:30 a.m. two miles northeast of Leonardville, the highway patrol said. The car overturned and ejected at least one person.

Redding, the highway patrol said, died from his injuries.

Two others in the car, 19-year-old Garrett Smith Olson of Leonardville and a 17-year-old boy from Riley, were taken to Mercy Regional Health Center for treatment.

The crash occurred in the 11000 block of LK and W roads near Leonardville, a town about 30 miles north of Fort Riley.
