Police seek the public’s help to find a woman who tumbled violently from a car on K-96 near Greenwich on Monday morning.

A motorist driving west on K-96 just before 7:40 a.m. saw a bronze-, copper- or light brown-colored newer Ford SUV just past the Greenwich overpass, police said in a statement posted on the department’s Facebook page. Suddenly a woman in the front passenger seat came out of the vehicle and violently tumbled to the shoulder of the road.

The witness told a 911 dispatcher that the woman was visibly injured and crying. The man driving the vehicle she fell from stopped and picked up the woman before forcibly putting her back inside the vehicle. The vehicle then sped away westbound on K-96, exiting onto Webb Road.

Hospitals were alerted to the incident, police said, but no victims have shown up for treatment or been located elsewhere. No additional reports to 911 have been received.

Anyone who saw the incident or stopped to assist is being asked to call 911.
