Wichita State volleyball sweeps Indiana State

Wichita State’s volleyball team beat Indiana State 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-22) on Saturday night in Terre Haute, Ind.

Ashley Andrade had a 15 kills and a .519 attack percentage to lead Wichita State. Chelsey Feekin had 35 assists, 10 digs and six kills and Dani Mostrom added 14 digs.

WSU took control of the first set midway through the game. Two kills from Katie Reilly and a service ace from Feekin increased the lead to 15-10. INS pulled to within 23-20, but WSU closed out the set on a kill from Andrade.

The Shockers took a 7-1 lead on the way to easily winning the second set. Indiana State led 13-8 in the third set, but the Shockers rallied to pull even 17-17. Two-straight kills from Andrade put WSU up 23-21 and the Shockers won the set 25-22 on another Andrade kill.

WSU (16-4, 6-1 MVC) will return home for five consecutive matches beginning Tuesday against Louisville.
