Southwest Baptist (1-4, 1-3) at No. 23 Emporia State (5-0, 5-0), 2:30 p.m. — Hutchinson High product and North Dakota State transfer Deshawn Dinwiddie has 35 tackles for the Hornets and the 6-foot-2, 215-pound junior is emerging as one of the better linebackers in the MIAA. Emporia State’s offense is ranked in the top 10 nationally in total offense, passing offense, passing efficiency, completion percentage and first downs.

McPherson (3-2, 2-1 KCAC) at No. 17 Friends (4-1, 3-0), 1:30 p.m. — Friends has an emerging weapon in freshman running back Jesse Rogers. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Maize South product has scored all three of his touchdowns in the Falcons’ last two games, wins over Southwestern and Kansas Wesleyan. Rogers’ second touchdown against the Coyotes came on a 70-yard run.

Coffeyville (3-2, 2-2 Jayhawk) at No. 12 Dodge City (5-1, 4-1), 1 p.m. — The Conquistadors can become bowl eligible with a victory, along with almost eliminating the Red Ravens from the Region VI playoffs. Dodge City running back Tyreis Thomas leads the Jayhawk in scoring with 12 touchdowns.
