Assistant manager, Central Star Credit Union's Haysville branch
Promoted four times in five years, Jeffrey has seen no reason to leave Central Star Credit Union, her first employer out of college.
“I always wanted to work in financial services in some capacity,” she said. “The opportunities were there for me to grow so I just stayed there.”
Jeffrey, 35, was born and raised in Wichita, graduating from North High. After taking time to start a family, she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in management from Wichita State University.
Jeffrey started at Central Star as a part-time scanning clerk, working her way up through positions including loan processor and loan officer.
“I’ve always liked working with numbers and being able to help people, whether it’s financing their first car or helping somebody remodel their home.”
She was promoted to her current position last month. She supervises branch employees and tries to make sure the location meets its goals for new accounts, loans and other services.
Jeffrey and her husband, Frederick, have five children – Abriana, 3 months; Brad, 7; Leah, 10; Jabril, 13; and Frederick, 20, a sophomore at Washburn University.
“So I’m at every stage in life,” she said.
When not spending time with her family, she enjoys exercising, especially with the group classes at the South YMCA.
“I’m a big fan of Zumba.”
