Wichita State No. 45 in NCAA volleyball RPI

Wichita State’s volleyball team is No. 45 in the first release of the NCAA’s power rankings (RPI).

The Shockers are the top Missouri Valley Conference school in the rankings. Illinois State is one of four MVC schools in the top 100 at No. 64, followed by No. 69 Missouri State and No. 75 Northern Iowa. WSU also has a non-conference match against No. 58 Louisville remaining.

Creighton, which left the MVC for the Big East, is No. 10. Kansas is No. 14 and Kansas State is No. 29.

WSU (15-3, 5-0 MVC) plays at Illinois State (12-4, 5-0) on Friday.
