Patricia Jones has been named executive director of Communities in Schools of Wichita/Sedgwick County, officials announced Thursday.

Jones, who has served as executive director for Dress for Success Wichita and on numerous community boards and committees, will oversee the mission of Communities in Schools, which connects at-risk students and their families to programs and resources to help children stay in school.

She will replace Suzanne Graham, who retired.

“Pat is a seasoned professional with an excellent reputation of raising awareness and financial support for local nonprofits,” said Katherine Sanneman, chairwoman of the board for Communities in Schools, in a news release.

Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wichita State University. She will begin her duties with the organization on Oct. 14.
