A woman was robbed at knifepoint in the driveway of her home early Tuesday morning, police said.

The woman was standing in her driveway in the 1600 block of North Woodlawn at about 6:30 a.m. when a stranger approached her and demanded money, Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said.

The 36-year-old woman initially denied she had any money on her, but the man put the knife to her throat and repeated his demand. She pulled an envelope containing cash out of a pants pocket and gave it to him.

He then ran south, Nolte said.

The victim was not injured.
