A foot chase by Wichita police Sunday night resulted in the arrest of people suspected of breaking into cars, police said today.

Police showed up at 10:30 p.m. after they received calls telling them people were peering into cars with flashlights, Lt. Doug Nolte said.

Officers chased two people on foot, and arrested them in the 300 block of North Fountain, he said. One was a 27-year-old man; the other a 24-year-old woman, Nolte said.

They found property stolen from a house in the 400 block of North Broadview, Nolte said..

There have been other attempted thefts in the College Hill area, and police are investigating whether those thefts are related to the people arrested Sunday, Nolte said.
