Two teens were robbed Saturday morning as they were walking home from a convenience store.

The incident happened at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday in the 8700 block of West University, near Maple and Tyler Road.

The 15-and 16-year-old boys told Wichita police they were approached by two men wielding knives, Sgt. Bart Brunscheen said. One of the men wore a lip ring and eyebrow ring.

The men demanded the teens turn over their property, Brunscheen said.

A cellphone, iPod and small amounts of cash were taken. No injuries were reported.

The two men ran northbound on foot.
