Wichita police are investigating a bar fight that happened late Saturday night in the 200 block of West Harry.

Police were called to Club G after an employee from the club called and reported that a man was using racial slurs, according to Sgt. Bart Brunscheen, spokesman with the Wichita Police Department.

The employee told police he asked the man to leave, but the man punched him in the face and he hit back two times.

According to Brunscheen, when police arrived at the bar, they were unable to locate the man.

Two hours later, a 33-year-old man with a skull fracture was admitted to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis. He said he had been attacked by five men.

“Officers who worked the prior case associate him as that individual,” Brunscheen said. “Detectives want to investigate and determine what happened. If he struck someone, that person is certainly allowed to defend themselves.”
