A student aboard a Heights High School bus involved in a crash at 29th and Woodland, was not hurt, according to Wichita public schools spokeswoman Susan Arensman.

The wreck occurred about 3:30 p.m., a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. At least one other vehicle was involved, the dispatcher supervisor said. The crash site is located west of Arkansas.

"Early reports are that a car hit the bus," Arensman said in an e-mailed response to questions about the accident.

The dispatch supervisor said one person was taken to Wesley Medical Center in serious condition following the crash. Arensman, however, said via e-mail that neither the student nor the bus driver was injured. They were the only occupants on the bus at the time, she said.

Further details were not immediately available.
