The trip home from school turned bumpy for 32 College Hill Elementary students when the bus they were riding on collided with another vehicle at First and Wabash on Friday afternoon.

Wichita school district spokeswoman Susan Arensman said one of the children was taken to Wesley Medical Center with minor injuries, but the rest were OK. Arensman said First Student, which provides bussing services for the school district, “will investigate and determine if there will be consequences” for the bus driver.

The crash happened shortly before 5 p.m., a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. One other person suffered minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene, she said.
