“One who uses intimidation to achieve an end” is the definition of a terrorist. What do we then call politicians who threaten to shut down our government and economy for personal political gain?

Don’t be a stupid, bullheaded Kansan once again. The Affordable Care Act is desperately needed by the people of this country. Make sure your roadblock congressmen know not to cause trouble.

On Oct.1, when many of Obamacare’s provisions go into effect, let the suffering for all (except those with exemptions) and the wake-up call for the uninformed and unintelligent begin.

All of us who don’t have health insurance need to prepare for next year, when the government will penalize us perhaps by hundreds or thousands of dollars. It is like a big pay cut is coming.

Somebody asked, “Whose economy is growing?” Well, since the stock market just hit an all-time high, I’d say mine is.

Any inmate who needs to flush the toilet three times an hour needs to see a doctor.

If it is yellow, let it mellow. If it is brown, flush it down.

I’ve lived in this city 40 years and never heard Dwight D. Eisenhower’s name associated with Wichita. Why complicate the name of our airport? Let’s show some pride in our city, Wichitans, and put a stop to this foolishness.

Naming the Wichita airport after Eisenhower is not necessary. Goddard has an Eisenhower High School that was built a few years ago. That is enough.

To suggest using the word “international” in the airport’s new name is laughable. Passengers leave Wichita and travel to one or more hubs before an international flight begins. What’s next? Jabara International Airport? Salina International Airport?

I think the reason Amelia Earhart isn’t mentioned as a name for the airport is that she was a woman.

Those who continue to put Republican NRA-backed governors in office will rue the day. Iowa allows the blind and sex offenders to carry guns. North Carolina allows concealed-carry of guns on playgrounds. Louisiana allows concealed-carry for child sex offenders. Really?

Making good people helpless will not make bad people harmless. Go after the people responsible and leave the Second Amendment alone.
