Investigators on Tuesday released photos of a box in which the body of Tangela Fisher, 35, was found Saturday along East Dye Store Road in rural Platte County.

They described the box as being homemade and said it contained the body and various sizes of men’s and women’s clothing. They also released photos of the clothing in hopes someone would recognize it.

Fisher was known to frequent the downtown area of St. Joseph, authorities said. The Metro Squad is investigating the case but does not expect to know the cause of death until toxicology results are available from the medical examiner’s office.

Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477) or the Metro Squad information line at 816-858-3396.
