Wichita police were called to Via Christi Hospital on Harry at 2:30 a.m. Sunday where an 18-year-old man told officers he had been punched, kicked and beaten with a wrench.

The man told police he had been attacked by five men in their 20s in a parking lot in the 4100 block of West Kellogg.

“He had several cuts to his face, bruises on his arms and a deep laceration to his forehead that exposed some of his skull,” said Sgt. Bart Brunscheen, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

When police asked what started the fight, the man told them “he believed it was because he had cut them off in traffic,” Brunscheen said.
