Wichita police were called to Wesley Medical Center at 1:40 a.m. Sunday to hear two men tell them they had been beaten and robbed by a dozen men.
Both told police they were near Second and Washington when they were approached by a dozen men, according to Sgt. Bart Brunscheen, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
The men, seated on a bench, decided to leave in a car, but verbal arguments turned physical, Brunscheen said.
One of the victims, a 20-year-old man, was struck in his face, causing him to lose consciousness. His necklace, cellphone and wallet were taken.
The second victim, a 21-year-old man, told police he was struck, punched and kicked.
Both men were treated at Wesley and then released.
