A 21-year-old Missouri woman was arrested by Harvey County authorities early Saturday morning, after a car chase ended in a one-car accident on Hillside, Wichita police said.

The woman and a 23-year-old male passenger sustained minor injuries after their car struck the median at K-96 and Hillside and became airborne, police Sgt. Bruce Watts said.

The two fled on foot, and were taken into custody, Watts said. However, the male passenger was later released.

Police from Wichita, Maize, Valley Center and Park City joined Harvey County authorities in the chase.

Wichita police have no information on where or why the chase began.
