Kennel club to hold low-cost microchip clinic

The Wichita Kennel Club will conduct a low-cost microchip clinic for dogs from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sept. 22 at the kennel club building, 3448 N. Emporia.

The cost is $20 per dog for those registered by Sept. 14 and $25 afterward. The fee includes implantation of the microchip by a licensed veterinarian and lifetime enrollment of the dog in the AKC Companion Animal Rescue database.

RETAIN collecting items for garage sale

Responsible and Ethical Treatment of Animals in Neighborhoods, a local group that helps provide spaying and neutering for the pets of people who can’t afford the surgery, is collecting items for its annual garage sale.

The sale will be held Sept. 26-28 at 615 S. Roosevelt.

To donate items in good, clean, usable condition (no clothing, please), or to make a tax-deductible donation, call Jerry at 316-682-2249.
