A Sedgwick County jury began deliberated just 90 minutes Thursday before convicting a Wichita man of sexually abusing a girl for nearly a decade.

Michael Rae, 38, was convicted of two counts of rape and seven other felonies for sexually abusing the girl from the age of 7 to 16. He was arrested after the girl’s mother found two cards containing photographs and videos of some of the encounters.

Rae will face a mandatory life prison sentence when he is sentenced Oct. 24 by District Judge Ben Burgess.
