Wichita State men’s basketball player D.J. Bowles is at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., undergoing testing, according to several sources.

Bowles collapsed during practice on Sept. 3 at Koch Arena and was taken by ambulance to Via Christi on St. Francis. The next day, his condition was upgraded from serious to fair. On Sunday, he was released from Via Christi.

Bowles’ Twitter timeline is filled with messages from Wichita State fans, friends, family and coaches. Earlier this week, he responded: “And I want to send a special thanks to #shockernation you guys are the best fans in the world thank you for all the support.”

Bowles, from Cleveland, Tenn., is a freshman point guard. He attended Oldsmar (Fla.) Christian last season.
