2014 Kansas Firefighters calendar sales to benefit Coats for Kids

  • Published Monday, Sep. 9, 2013, at 7:42 p.m.

It was a tough job, but somebody had to do it.

On Monday, Leah Pollock rubbed baby oil on the abdomen of her boyfriend – Sedgwick County firefighter Todd Nix – to help him prepare for a photo shoot for the 2014 Kansas Firefighters calendar. Nix, 43, was one of 13 firefighters chosen this summer to pose for the calendar.

Proceeds from calendar sales benefit the Coats for Kids Project, which distributes winter apparel to children in need, and the Kansas Firefighters Museum, 1300 S. Broadway. The calendar is produced by volunteers at the museum.
