If cutting Kansas’ income tax is supposed to stimulate the state economy, I want proof. Let’s compare five or 10 economic indicators between Kansas and states that didn’t cut income taxes. It’s not too much to ask.
If liquor store owners don’t want the competition of grocery stores, they need to try to give better service. When a lady buys something, is it too much to ask for a sack? I don’t like walking out swinging a carton of wine coolers. A little appreciation also would be nice.
When is my government going to step up to the plate and demand that all birds wear diapers? And where are the folks who are supposed to keep worms from getting into our storm drains?
The city of Wichita has done it again. It couldn’t use the excuse of drought to raise the water rates, so it’s gouging us by adding a “convenience fee” if you pay online. I’ve had enough. I’m switching to well water. I encourage others do the same.
Not only should lawn crews that deliberately blow grass into the street be fined and lose the ability to do business in Wichita, those that hire them should also be fined because they permitted them to do it.
What started out free and good for drawing people downtown has now turned into another money grubber. The BlackTop Nationals now charges to see the car show. Greed rules again.
When I see people with tattoos over every visible part of their bodies and who use their faces as a pincushion, I don’t see art. I see people who are into self-mutilation. And as an employer, I would never hire such a person.
My tattoos honor my parents, children, rock idol, best friends and animals. They represent freedom to choose for myself. Why do my tattoos warrant any objection or disdain from you? They are mine, on my body, paid for with my money.
The problem with “clinging to your guns and your religion” is that those who live by the gun at times die by the gun.
Journalists purposely mischaracterize events as racism to engender outrage in minorities and intimidate whites. The accusation of racism is so overused, it is beginning to lose the intended effect.
Jesus is the only way to heaven because God set it up that way. If you disagree, don’t like it, take it up with God. He makes the rules.
Hey, Bill Warren – do you suppose you could update the ad for Oscar’s Lounge at the east-side Warren Theatres? It’s getting to be pretty cheesy. Also the THX ads before the movies. We get tired of the same ones all the time.
