WSU volleyball beats Fresno State at Portland Invitational

Wichita State beat Fresno State 3-1 (19-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-11) on Saturday in hits final match at the Portland Nike Invitational in Portland, Ore.

Sophomore setter Chelsey Feekin had 36 assists, nine digs and eight blocks for WSU. Senior outside hitter Sam Sanders had 13 kills and a .545 attack percentage. The Shockers hit .299 as a team. Freshman libero Alyssa Carney had 18 digs and three aces.

Late Friday, the Shockers swept Portland (25-11, 33-31, 25-23). Elizabeth Field and Sam Sanders led WSU (4-1) with 10 kills each. The Shockers out-blocked the Pilots 16-6 with Ashley Andrade totaling eight.
