Wichita police offered few details Saturday on an overnight shooting that left a man with critical injuries in the 300 block of North Lorraine.

Police Sgt. Bruce Watts said the man’s 34-year-old girlfriend called 911 to report the shooting at 5:30 a.m. Saturday. Officers arrived at the house and found the woman and her boyfriend, he said.

Watts would not say where the man was shot or offer a motive for the attack. He also declined to provide a description of the suspect but did say officers were investigating “a good lead” Saturday afternoon.

The 50-year-old man was taken to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition, Watts said. No other details were forthcoming from police.

The house where the shooting occurred is located near Hillside and Second Street.
