Wheelspin Can you identify girl in the rumble seat?

  • Published Saturday, Sep. 7, 2013, at 12 a.m.

Vivian Pearce of Bentonville, Ark., has brought her award-winning mint green 1930 Ford roadster to several Wichita car shows the last few years. It’s always beautifully displayed and makes a lasting impression.

That’s why Carl Fry was a little surprised to see a cute little girl perched happily in the rumble seat of the high-end show car at the recent BlackTop Nationals. Assuming it was Vivian’s granddaughter, he snapped a shot of the scene before moving on. The next day, he had the opportunity to pass the photo on to Vivian, who informed him the girl was not related to her, but had nicely asked if she could sit in the car.

Vivian said she would like to hang the photo in her car barn, but would really like to know the girl’s name. So if you know who the girl in the photo is, please contact me or email Carl at cfry6@cox.net.
