Cops riding trains issue 8 tickets for breaking railroad crossing laws

Law enforcement officers riding on trains Tuesday resulted in eight tickets being issued for violating railroad crossing laws, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

The officers, who rode on the trains from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., also made one drug arrest and issued one other traffic citation. Besides sheriff deputies, officers from the Wichita Police Department and Kansas Highway Patrol participated.
