Police are looking into a shooting incident early Monday morning in east Wichita.

A 31-year-old man reported hearing glass breaking just after midnight on Monday in the 600 block of South Hunter, Lt. Joe Schroeder said. That’s just south of Kellogg and just east of Woodlawn.

When he went to investigate, he heard more glass break, Schroeder said. He discovered someone had shot through the rear door and a window of a back bedroom, he said.

Officers investigating the case found three spent shotgun shells behind the house, Schroeder said. No suspects were identified.
