Three Wichita real estate firms are among the top 500 in the country for transactions and sales, according to an industry ranking.

RISMedia’s Power Broker Top 500 report for 2013 ranked J.P. Weigand & Sons the highest among the three firms in transactions, at No. 162, followed by Prudential Dinning-Beard at No. 236 and Coldwell Banker Plaza Real Estate at No. 446.

According to the report, which has been published for 25 years, Weigand ranked No. 242 in sales volume of $497.9 million. Dinning-Beard ranked No. 320 in volume on sales of $351.1 million. Plaza was ranked No. 418 in volume, on sales of $256.3 million.

The data for the rankings is based on 2012 financial results, provided by real estate firms and verified by third-parties, RISMedia said.
