Two Saturdays left for summer dog wash

Does your dog need a bath? Take your pet to the Retain summer dog wash, where volunteers will do the dirty work and your money will go to a worthy cause.

The summer fundraising dog wash run by volunteers from Retain is winding down, with only two Saturdays remaining.

From 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 24 and 31, weather permitting, volunteers will shampoo, rinse and towel off dogs outside Heartland Animal Hospital, 4100 N. Woodlawn in Bel Aire. Prices are $4 for a small or medium-size dog and $5 for a large dog.

Proceeds go to Responsible and Ethical Treatment of Animals in Neighborhoods, a local group that helps pay for spay and neuter surgeries for pets whose owners can’t afford them.
