The state’s second-largest credit union says it has agreed to a two-year commitment to support the area’s annual professional golf tournament.
Wichita-based Credit Union of America said in a news release that it has agreed to become an Air Capital Classic Ambassador.
“The tournament is a first-class event and brings so much to our local economy,” said Glenda Burkett, CUA’s vice president of marketing, in the release. “CUA wants the Air Capital Classic to stay in Wichita, so we’re stepping up to support them.”
CUA did not disclose details of the commitment.
Officials of the tournament on the Web.com Tour told The Eagle last week that they would be seeking support from businesses for the tournament, which has been a part of the 24-year history of the PGA Tour’s developmental circuit.
