Tribute band Paramount to play the Cotillion

Paramount at the Cotillion

Salina-based 1980s tribute band Paramount will play at 8 p.m. Friday at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg. The regionally popular band, headed by vocalists Eddie Light and Kristi Gray, perform hits from 1980s acts ranging from Journey to Rick Springfield to Pat Benatar. Looks That Kill, a Motley Crue tribute band, will open the show. Tickets are $13 at the door. For more information, call 316-722-4201.

Soul Project closes out series

The final installment of the KEYN Summer Concert Series will happen from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday at the WaterWalk, 515 S. Main. The Soul Project, which specializes in soul music with a four-piece horn section, will perform. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Cee Cee James at Soggy Bottoms Too

Cee Cee James, a Portland, Ore.-based blues singer known for her gritty vocals, will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at Soggy Bottons Too, 767 N. West St. James received notoriety in blues circles recently for her 2013 Blues Blast nominated song of the year, “I Got a Right to Sing the Blues.” Admission is $15 cash at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m., and patrons must be 21 to enter.
