AGCO will hold a ribbon-cutting event for its new paint center in Hesston on Friday.
Company officials said Gov. Sam Brownback is expected to attend the event, which starts at 10 a.m. and runs until about 2 p.m.
According to an e-mail from AGCO, the $40-million-dollar project is an “investment in product quality and future manufacturing in Hesston.”
“The new facility reduces the environmental impact of the paint process, provides a better work environment for employees and enhances product quality and longevity,” according to the e-mail.
The event for company officials and employees, as well as invited guests and media, also will include tours of the facility and remarks from AGCO officials and Brownback.
