Wingnuts rained out; doubleheader set for Wednesday

The Wingnuts’ first home game in 20 days was rained out Tuesday night.

The Wingnuts and Gary Southshore will play a doubleheader at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Wichita went 11-5 during its marathon road trip while the NBC World Series was being played at Lawrence-Dumont. The Wingnuts (55-26) have the American Association’s best record and lead second-place Gary by 8 1/2 games in the Central Division.
