Suspect shot, hospitalized after police chase, crash

Sheriff’s officers in Kingman and Sumner counties are investigating a chase through both counties that ended after the suspect was shot and crashed his car.

Emergency dispatchers said the chase began around 6 p.m. in Kingman County and ended in Sumner County when the suspect was shot after driving toward deputies who were trying to stop him.

The suspect was taken in serious condition to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in Wichita. Further details of the chase were not immediately available.
