Water flows through an oxycharger at Wichita's wastewater treatment plant near 57th and Hydrualic. The oxycharger is the last stage wastewater goes through before it's released back into the Arkansas River. City officials see treated sewer water as a possible new water source. They are considering pulling some of that water out of wells drilled along the river’s banks and treating it further.
