Wichita police are reminding people to be careful when meeting others to buy goods off online sites such as Craigslist.

Sgt. Scott Brunow said a 25-year-old man planned to buy an iPad from someone Friday night. The victim got into a vehicle in the 7700 block of East Central to make the purchase but was robbed instead. The man told police a second man got into the car and stole his money, wallet and cellphone.

The second man took off eastbound walking, and the driver of the car went westbound on Central, Brunow said.

The victim described the vehicle as a black Lincoln four-door sedan.

The driver was described as a black man 18 to 19 years old, about 5 feet, 5 inches with a thin build and wearing a black T-shirt and pants. The second suspect was described as a black man 20 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-5 with a medium build. He had a silver handgun, the victim said.
