Free band concert at Kaw Mission State Historic Site

The Flint Hills Community Band will host a free outdoor concert Aug. 11 at the Kaw Mission State Historic Site in Council Grove.

The concert will include jazz, blues, marches and Broadway show tunes. Those attending the concert will be able to purchase homemade cookies, cake and drinks.

People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Kaw Mission State Historic Site is at 500 N. Mission Street. For more information, call 620-767-5410.
