It’ll be a rainy Friday early in the Wichita area before the sun breaks through later in the day, forecasters say.

Some of the showers could bring heavy rain in the morning. Highs today will only reach the low 80s, with light northerly winds touching double digits.

Overnight lows will slide to the low 60s, with mostly clear skies and north winds easing to little more than a whisper.

Saturday is shaping up to be mostly sunny and pleasant, forecasters say, with highs in the low 80s and light easterly winds. Chances for rain return Sunday, with showers and thunderstorms likely Sunday night.
