Charity

Dold Foods, a Wichita subsidiary of Hormel Foods Corp., said this week that it would donate $10,000 to the Lord’s Diner.

Farha Roofing donated a new roof to Charles and Mary Alice Franklin of Bel Aire as part of an effort to support military veterans in need.

Officials from Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers on Tuesday presented a $52,000 check to the Central & Western Oklahoma Red Cross in the wake of the May tornado in Moore, Okla. The money was raised primarily by encouraging Freddy’s customers to donate or to round up their tabs to the nearest dollar. A couple of franchisees matched their customers’ donations as well.
