Sheriff’s Office seeking help to solve vehicle break-ins in west Wichita

The crime

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to solve several car burglaries and slow crime at three locations in west Wichita.

The Sedgwick County Zoo, Sedgwick County Park and Westurban baseball fields have had several vehicle break-ins over the past two months. The suspect or suspects break in to the vehicle and quickly take valuables that are visible. Loss and damages have totaled several thousand dollars.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is asking that the public report any suspicious people and not leave any valuables in their vehicles while at these locations.
