Six teens reportedly showed up late Friday to a home in the 1800 block of South Hiram, then fired shots when they left, according to police.

Words and gang signs were exchanged during an altercation between the teens and two men ages 31 and 40, police said. When the teens left, they ran south on Hiram, police said. One reportedly pulled out a handgun, police said, and fired rounds back toward the men.

Police were called to the location northeast of Meridian and May at 11:50 p.m. Friday. No one was hit during the shooting, police said, and no arrests had been made as of Saturday.

Police said the men were reportedly hosting a garage sale when the teens approached.
