Two homes and a vehicle were hit by gunfire during a drive-by shooting late Thursday night near 21st Street North and Hillside.

Officers responding to the shooting report around 11:50 p.m. found bullet holes in a home in the 2000 block of North Chautauqua and in a vacant house in the 2900 block of East Stadium, Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said. A 40-year-old man’s vehicle parked in front of the house on Chautauqua also sustained damage, he said.

Police found multiple shell casings in the street and recovered two firearms and a magazine near the crime scene, he said. The vehicle used in the shooting is described as a brown GMC Suburban.

Two women, ages 28 and 46, were in the house on Chautauqua when the gunfire occurred, Nolte said. No one was hurt.

Anyone with information about the drive-by is encouraged to call police.
