New retailers

Towne East Square is adding three new businesses that will open later this summer: bakery Beard Papa’s, which will be on the upper level near Dillard’s; Perfect Brow Bar, which will be on the upper level near Sears; and Royal Spa, which will be located on the upper level near Dillard’s. The Simon-owned mall also said that, L’Image, a current retailer, will move into a new store located across from Men’s Wearhouse.

Charity

Wichita-based J.S. Ventures, franchisee of 25 Applebee’s restaurants, donated more than $15,000 to the Salvation Army to aid those still recovering from the tornado that hit Moore, Okla., in May.

Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members just wrapped up the company’s annual six-week fundraising campaign and confirmed it raised $294,740 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Via Christi Health.
