Five Kansas State football players on All-Big 12 preseason team

Returning All-Big 12 players John Hubert, Ty Zimmerman and Cornelius Lucas were joined by two Kansas State teammates on the media All-Big 12 preseason football team announced Wednesday.

Hubert (running back), Zimmerman (safety) and Lucas (offensive tackle) were All-Big 12 as juniors. Also on the preseason team from K-State are junior kick returner Tyler Lockett and senior punt returner Tramaine Thompson.

No Kansas players were named to the preseason team.

Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk was named Big 12 offensive player of the year, while TCU defensive lineman Devonte Fields took defensive honors. West Virginia running back Charles Sims, a transfer from Houston, was named newcomer of the year.
